South Pacific Cruising Services Guide
The South Pacific is the apex of long-distance cruising — French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Tonga, Fiji, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Samoa. The services infrastructure is thinner than the Caribbean or Mediterranean, but it exists if you know where to look.

- Haul-out: Vuda Point Fiji (cyclone pit), Denarau Fiji, Papeete Tahiti (limited capacity).
- Rigging: Papeete or mobile from Auckland.
- Sails: Repair at Papeete; new sails ship from NZ/USA.
- Diesel: Yanmar/Volvo supported in Papeete, Fiji, Noumea.
- Electrical: Strong in Papeete; basic elsewhere.
- Chandlery: Sin Tung Hing Papeete is the standout.
